The First of its Kind: A coaching book loaded with video and dynamic content for the iPad

I’m excited that I’ve finally been able to get this project complete and get it up on the iBookstore. I’ve purchased my share of coaching books over the years, and I’ve always wished I had video to accompany the plays being diagrammed and explained in the book. When I would buy coaching videos, I would start and stop the video and take plenty of notes in the process while drawing up the play that was being explained on screen.

The format provided for iBooks on the iPad is a game changer. Now the video can be right there on the same page as the diagram. Text is easily highlighted and additional notes can be typed right into the iBook which means no more searching through your stacks of notebooks and legal pads to find a coaching point you noted. Any additional notes you take are always right there in the book, and a list of what you highlighted appears in the table of contents. Presentations that appear on screen in a DVD are included to illustrate coaching points and add more detail. Still shots can be included with coaching points showing step-by-step detailed illustrations of technique.

I’m excited to be able to offer a product that does all of that and I have several more in the works. This allows a coaching to consume content in a much different way than ever before. Now a coach can have the best of both worlds with detailed, technical explanations and video of the play to solidify what is being learned.

The introduction video and the sample that can be downloaded from the iBookstore give you an idea of some of the types of content included.

If you purchase a copy let me know what you think.

It’s also available in the iBookstore in Canada, Australia, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. If you are not in one of those countries and wish to purchase it, contact me and I will get it uploaded to the iBookstore for that country.
